About Desmond T. Evans
Desmond T. Evans was born in a small mining village in South Wales, UK, where the residue of the Welsh Revival remained active. His father a pastor, Des was brought up in a little chapel which was part of the Pentecostal legacy which pervaded that part of the world.
After serving in ministry in the UK, Canada, Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the United States, Des and Mary moved to Texas in November 1976 to pastor Bethesda Community Church. Des served the fellowship for over 34 years as Senior Pastor and upon his retirement was named Pastor Emeritus.
Pastor Des went home to be with Jesus on Christmas Eve 2019. Though we mourn his passing and miss him dearly, we are thrilled his legacy lives on through this digital library of his incredible teaching, and it is with great joy we make it available to you. To the utter delight of the fellowship, Des’ wife, Mary, remains an active part of Bethesda Church.
